Accessibility is very important to us at the Phoenix Cultural Centre and we take every opportunity to make sure your experience is considered.
The Phoenix Cultural Centre & Fiery Bird Venue is an inclusive community-led venue, and we welcome deaf and disabled people to the venue. The venue is a temporary meanwhile space loaned to our community business so does have some restrictions.

The Phoenix Cultural Centre & Fiery Bird venue is s located on the ground floor of 32 Goldsworth Rd. There is a ramp into the venue and step free to get into the Fiery Bird space. The bar area and toilet with adjustments ie widened doorways and is located on this level too. Space is set aside as a viewing area for wheelchair users or those who need to watch from a seat. Please contact us in advance if you need assistance or need a seat as most of our gigs are standing events.
Please note there is a small step onto the stage. The stage is 16 inches high. We are currently sourcing funding for a ramp from floor to stage.

Fiery Bird operates a free ticket PA scheme for those who need to bring an assistant. Please contact the venue for more details. If you require a seat for the show, please let us know in advance where possible.

The Fiery Bird is located 0.3 miles from Woking train and bus station.
Here is a video showing how to get to the venue from Platform 1 exit of Woking Rail Station. It is approximately 8 minutes walk with no stairs when you leave the station.
We have ample free parking on site. To find us, use postcode GU21 6JT in your sat nav or if you use WhatThreeWords, enter drums.dash.duke. Please don’t use Apple Maps as this will take you to our old venue.
Our entrance gates are next to Woking Fire Station.
We have two dedicated bays for wheelchair users or those with limited mobility who need close access to the ramp entrance to building
There are height restriction barriers inside our gates. Please email in advance for access details for larger vehicles.

There is a single gender neutral toilet with widened doors, lowered sink and call button within the venue. This is located near the entrance doors to the venue.
There are also male and female facilities with cubicles and urinals.

We welcome customers who may need to bring food, drink, medicine or medical equipment with them to manage a medical condition. Please advise us in advance.

Should you be attending with an assistance dog and require they have a separate area during a loud performance we have a dog crate, separate bed, water bowl and treats available in our office. Please advise us in advance.

Strobe lighting will not be used at the venue. Please contact us if you have any concerns.

We have quiet areas where customers may wish to take some time if they feel overwhelmed or need a break. There are ear plugs for sale at Reception if required. Ear protection is compulsory in the venue for guests under 18 and will be provided free of charge.
A First Aid & Mental Health First Aid, member of our team is in attendance. Members of our team will also signpost to other organisations who can provide support.
Blankets & heat wraps are available on request.
Any member of our team will be happy to assist. Please email us in advance so we can discuss your individual needs and assist with planning an enjoyable visit.
Team members are volunteers with different needs and abilities themselves. We ask that they are treated with the respect you would expect for yourself.
