Lovely Music Night

  • Fiery Bird Venue 32 Goldsworth Road Woking, England, GU21 6JT United Kingdom (map)

Our regular Lovely Music Nights return!

This month we continue to bring together excellent local original writing talent to share their new work with you. Four acts for £10!

The Lovely Music Nights entry fee supports the volunteer run venue costs/utilities and the artists that play them.

Line Up: Diego Brown and the Good Fairy, Emilie Lierre, Celia Barrett

We are Diego Brown and the Good Fairy. Some say like the Carpenters on a lost weekend in Twin Peaks.

We tend to think of performance as a two-way thing. We have high expectations of our audience. And they usually come up trumps.

If it doesn’t have a story we think it’s unlikely to make a song. And if it’s not a song, what’s the story?

If you want the facts, try these: guitar, banjo, ukelele, drum, accordion, fiddles, swannee, kazoos, cymbal, shakers, drawings, cake, prizes, fuzzboxes.

Emilie Lierre’s low-toned, soulful, singing voice has a truly commanding presence. Backed up by the alluring chimes of her trustee Ukulele, the charisma that exudes from Emilie’s performances is truly electrifying!

A nomad by nature, born in Manchester, brought up in Portsmouth, but comfortable anywhere lead Emilie Lierre to Australia where she busked and discovered, led to appearances on ABC and Triple R radio in Melbourne and the the confidence to pursue her musical dream.

Having appeared to much acclaim at our Americana festival we are delighted to have Emilie back for a feature set.

Celia Barrett

Celia has a unique and attractive voice perfectly suited to the poignant and witty songs she writes. They reflect feelings that many of us experience and affect our emotions. Celia is part of the team that run The Loft monthly music nights of original music near Basingstoke. Her performances are much sought after across the South East and beyond.
