ABOUT POLSKY
The past 12 months have seen PolSky collaborate with Brit Award and BAFTA winning film makers, (Tinge Krishnan and Jamie Thraves) and top music producers as part of the Executive Functions project. The songs have received positive reviews and airplay from BBC Radio 6 Music (Steve Lamacq, Deb Grant, Stuart Maconnie) as well being featured in recent Apple TV show, WeCrashed.
Lead singer Kris Warren describes the music of PolSky’s debut- “The album was written in response to the upheaval of recent times and our increasingly Kafka-esque reality. Placing myself as protagonist, the songs on “Executive Functions” offer a glimpse into my experience of human frailty and information overload. Musically, we wanted to explore the beauty, ugliness, thrills, and desperation that we are confronted with in the modern world”.
“PolSky is the first ambient post-post punk corporation.”
‘Executive Functions’ is a musical collection of indie pop, rock and electro sensibilities brim-packed with urgent dancefloor bangers, anthemic burners, and caustic social commentary. With Kris Warren installed as CEO of the new PolSky corporation, he duly went about appointing the executive board of directors: Senior Synth Architect, Ben Warn (keyboards), Rhythm Logistics Engineer, Alex Robertson (drums), and Low Frequency Systems Analyst, Chris Norman (bass). The board now fully in session, they cordially invite you to join them for their Sales Kick-off event for ‘Executive Functions’ live at the Fiery Bird.
