ASDA Foundation Grant Boosts Community Garden and Mural Project at 32 Goldsworth Rd

PCC

We were recently successful in a grant of £2500 from ASDA Foundation to help buy some tools for our garden areas and paint a mural at
32 Goldsworth Rd!

The mural is being designed by local community members from the young people’s LGBTQ+ Twister Group & others who visit the venue and want to incorporate their stories.

It will be in the area at the front of the building and make the garden there a welcoming fun place in good weather where people can meet and some performances can take place.

The tools we can buy with the grant will expand the ability for the groups like Surrey Choices young SEN adults to take part in supported volunteering and our volunteers to keep the place tidy and welcoming to the community who we hope will join with us in running the venue for everybody as we move it towards more community ownership as it grows.

The cheque was presented to us by Faye Nolan Customer and Community Champion from ASDA Woking who supported us in the bid.
